Geometric Scan

The Geometric Scan is the primary diagnostic protocol used to identify the current configuration of the client’s psyche. It answers the question: “Where are we in the Manifold?”

Purpose

To locate the active pathologies, wounds, and structural deficits before attempting intervention. This prevents the error of attempting advanced work (Descent) on an unstable foundation.

The Scan Sequence

1. Body Check (CLE)

  • Question: “Can you feel your body right now? Where is the sensation?”
  • Sign: Numbness, “floating head,” inability to locate emotion in the body.
  • Diagnosis: GEOM:CLE (Mind-Body Split).
  • Action: If present, STOP. Proceed to SEQ:1 (Body Reconnection). Do not attempt descent.

2. Shame Check ($G$)

  • Question: “When you think about this issue, what is the feeling toward yourself? Is it ‘I made a mistake’ or ‘I am a mistake’?”
  • Sign: Collapse, hiding, “I can’t imagine being different.”
  • Diagnosis: SHAME:G level.
    • $G=3$ (Event Horizon): STOP. External rescue required.
    • $G=2$ (Deep Well): Caution. Must do Shame Reduction (SEQ:2) first.

3. Center Check (HOL)

  • Question: “What do you want? Who are you when no one is watching?”
  • Sign: Confusion, looking to others for answers, performance, emptiness.
  • Diagnosis: GEOM:HOL (Hollow Core).
  • Action: If present, prioritize SEQ:3 (Nucleation). You cannot unburden a shell; you must build a center.

4. Plane Check (ARM/SWP)

  • Question: “When stressed, do you tend to control/tighten or collapse/numb?”
  • Diagnosis:
    • Control/Rigidity: GEOM:ARM (Armor Plane). Shadow Poles: TYR, TIT, FOR.
    • Collapse/Chaos: GEOM:SWP (Swamp Plane). Shadow Poles: DIS, STN, SWM.

5. Orbit Check

  • Question: “Do you cycle between these states?”
  • Diagnosis:
  • Action: If active, prioritize SEQ:4 (Orbit Disruption).

6. Vertical Check (VSH)

  • Question: “Can you receive help from something larger than yourself?”
  • Sign: Cynicism, isolation, “flatland” perspective.
  • Diagnosis: GEOM:VSH.
  • Action: SEQ:5. This is usually the final stage of repair.
